As a Cleaning Operative, you will undertake general cleaning duties to the prescribed standards within the office areas of a manufacturing environment.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Clean interior surfaces, furnishings, fixtures and fittings
  • Clean floors and hoover floor coverings
  • Maintain the internal office environment
  • Maintain toilet areas; clean all toilet appliances i.e. toilets, sinks etc. and replenish supplies i.e. hand towels, toilet rolls
  • Maintain kitchen / canteen areas; clean surfaces and equipment i.e. sinks, microwaves etc.
  • Clear and remove rubbish and other items from areas securely
  • Maintain and control the usage of materials ensuring the cleaning cupboard is kept tidy
  • Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in a safe working order
  • Have a knowledge and understanding of the cleaning area, cleaning procedures and time allocated to the area
  • Understand all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used within the premises
  • Report any problems to the supervisor so they may be rectified immediately
  • Undertake any other reasonable responsibilities

 

Who we’re looking for

 

To apply we ask that you are able to demonstrate previous experience within a cleaning operative role with a knowledge and appreciation of the importance of complying with health and safety standards in a work environment.

 

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and people skills and able to deliver a high standard cleaning performance. You will ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and legislation regarding cleaning, hygiene and health and safety,

working within all relevant polices in relation to hazardous substances, manual handing and risk assessment.

 

Excellent time management organisation and focus on ability to prioritise and multi task are required.

Working hours are 9 per week worked based on 3pm – 5pm Monday to Thursday / 10am – 11am Friday however we can be flexible with these arrangements.
