Visit websiteWe are looking for Product Managers who will each manage one of our product portfolios for cable glands, cleats or lugs. This will involve commercially planning the portfolio, based on improving revenue, margin, pricing, incremental business and innovation to successfully drive business growth. You will acquire an expert knowledge of the product, markets and customers enabling you to develop the product roadmaps deciding on the future direction and priorities for the product throughout its lifecycle. You will be the ‘go-to’ person for the product and ultimately responsible for its success.
What you’ll be doing
Work closely with the sales and product development teams to capture the customer needs and communicate the product requirements to facilitate new product development in line with the business goals.
Collaborate with all different departments to ensure the product strategy is being fulfilled, manage the product introduction and continue to manage the product throughout its whole lifecycle from product growth to its decline.
Responsible for a product portfolio, managing the lifecycle of the products and ensuring new products are added for the benefit of the overall business.
Be the global product expert with a clear understanding of the product application, features and each product unique selling points (USP’s).
Have a full understanding of each product in the portfolio in terms of sales, margin, pricing, market, region and key customers.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape for each product within each region and determine the best sales/marketing strategies to remain competitive.
Discover customer needs, determining what features are required for new products and generating specifications for products to be developed against.
Responsible for building the business cases for new products to be developed; involving product sales forecasts, pricing, margin targets & project investment.
Responsible for the sales and marketing strategy for new product, defining how the new products are launched, priced and what marketing materials / product training is required.
Create and deliver sales presentations to sales teams and directly to customers scoping out animations and videos and overseeing creation.
Plan and conduct hands-on training classes on product installations when required.
Work with the production teams to develop phase in / phase out plans based on sales / marketing strategy and facilitate customer orders during product introduction.
Throughout product development, ensure the product requirements remain to specification and make or facilitate any product related decisions.
After product introduction be the ‘go to’ person for the product, monitor financial performance, gather customer feedback and provide product support when required.
Who we’re looking for
To apply we ask that you have a proven work history in either product development, project management or product management environments in an engineering or manufacturing operation preferable with knowledge of cable management, cable glands, cable cleats or cable lugs. You will ideally hold a degree in a marketing or engineering discipline such as electrical or mechanical.
We are looking for someone with commercial analytical skills and a basic commercial understanding who can demonstrate the ability to compile a lot of information into coherent documentation for a wide-ranging audience. Project management skills and knowledge of project management tools is essential. You must have strong organisational skills with ability to work to targets and deadlines with a high level of attention to detail. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential.
