As Cleaning Operative you will undertake general cleaning duties to prescribed standards within the office areas of a manufacturing environment, ensuring a clean and well‑maintained workplace.

What you’ll be doing

  • Clean interior surfaces, furnishings, fixtures and fittings to the required standards.
  • Clean floors and hoover floor coverings.
  • Maintain the internal office environment to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Maintain toilet areas and replenish supplies including hand towels and toilet rolls.
  • Maintain kitchen and canteen areas, including cleaning surfaces and equipment such as sinks and microwaves.
  • Clear and remove rubbish and other items from designated areas.
  • Maintain stocks of cleaning materials and control the usage of materials, ensuring the cleaning cupboard is kept tidy at all times.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of assigned cleaning areas, cleaning procedures and the time allocated to each area.
  • Use approved cleaning equipment, materials and cleaning solutions in accordance with company procedures.
  • Report any issues or problems to the supervisor so they may be rectified promptly.

Who we’re looking for

To apply you will have previous experience in a cleaning role and an understanding of maintaining high standards of cleanliness within a working environment. You will have a good awareness of health and safety requirements and experience of working in line with relevant policies and procedures, including hygiene and safe working practices. If you are someone who can work on their own initiative, demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach, manage time effectively and prioritise tasks we would love to hear from you!

Working hours are 9 per week based on Monday to Thursday 10am – 12pm and Friday 10am-11am.
