The role

As a Data & Automation Developer, you will play a key role within the Business Systems team, supporting the delivery of high-quality management information, KPI reporting, workflow automation and collaborative business solutions across the Group.   You will take ownership of the end-to-end lifecycle of reporting and automation solutions, from data extraction and modelling through to dashboard development, deployment and ongoing enhancement. This role will help drive the move from static reporting towards scalable, trusted and self-service insight across the business.

The role

We're looking for a Compliance Manager to strengthen how governance, risk and compliance are embedded across British Engines.   Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is central to ensuring the Group operates in line with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies, while supporting the safe and responsible delivery of our strategic objectives.   You'll take ownership of developing and embedding a clear, practical and engaging compliance framework across a global, multi-functional organisation. This isn't just about setting policies — it's about helping colleagues understand what's required, why it matters, and how to apply it in their day-to-day roles.   It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical compliance expertise with business engagement, and who wants to shape how governance and ethical standards are delivered across a growing industrial group

The role

As a Machining Centre Operative, you will report to the Shift Leader. The Machining Centre Operative plays a key role in delivering high-quality components through the operation of large CNC machine tools. Working within a fast-paced machine shop environment, the role involves producing precision-engineered parts to strict specifications, ensuring all work meets required quality standards and production targets. The postholder will be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, setting and operating machinery, and making program adjustments where required. Collaboration is essential, with regular interaction across production control, engineering, maintenance and quality teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy and continuous improvement.

British Engines Group company, Michell Bearings, designs and manufactures hydrodynamic bearings for the marine, defence and industrial sectors.

Michell Bearings revolutionised ship building and sea transportation with the invention of the tilting pad bearing over 100 years ago and operates from sites in South Shields (UK), and Bangalore (India), with offices in the USA and Germany.

The role

As Design Engineer you will support the design and development of new and bespoke products within a specialist manufacturing environment. You will work across the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through to manufacture, testing, and market launch, while supporting continuous improvement across products and processes.

British Engines Group company, Stephenson Gobin, is a rapidly growing business specialising in the design and manufacture of electromagnetic solutions.

Stephenson Gobin operates from a manufacturing facility in Bishop Auckland, County Durham.

The role

As a Design Technician, you will support the design team in the day-to-day running of the office, including design work on current products, providing technical support to external sales staff and taking ownership of the company New Engineering Request (NER) process. After training, you will be responsible for dealing with new internal product requests, product bill of material (BOM) changes, system development projects and assisting in answering technical queries, including creating customer drawings.

As Multimedia Designer you will be pivotal in driving product awareness and customer conversion through compelling multimedia presentations and marketing initiatives. You will possess strong skills in motion graphics, visual storytelling, and technical communication to effectively present our product range to a diverse audience.
