We recognise the importance of our role in the manufacturing and engineering sectors

We are committed to playing a part in developing, growing and innovating by working together to ensure the future sustainability of the engineering industry.

We are committed to developing future engineering talent in the North East. We achieve this by providing hands-on industry experience through our apprenticeship scheme, undergraduate placements and work experience opportunities. We actively encourage the take up of STEM subjects by engaging with and investing in local training providers, schools and universities.

Many of the group’s businesses hold accreditations, memberships or partnerships with industry specific bodies. We actively encourage our people to represent the industry on panels, in groups and at institutions.

Our industry relies heavily on its network of suppliers, and we believe it is important to actively engage with our supply chain. We work closely with our suppliers to identify ways to improve technical and production capability, efficiency and sustainability wherever possible.
